Redicote® E-11-E is an Emulsifier for cationic slow-setting emulsions of asphalt, rejuvenating oils, tall oil pitch and resins. Redicote® E-11-E ia a Break control additive for slurry surfacing. Low Use level: Redicote® E-11-E gives emulsions of good quality with a wide range of asphalts, at a low use level. Emulsion viscosity and storage stability are typically better than other CSS emulsifiers. Slurry Seal: Emulsions prepared using Redicote® E-11-E provide mix time with a variety of aggregates and the strong cationic nature of the emulsifier ensures good water resistance of the seal. Easy handling: The low viscosity, low pour point and water solubility of Redicote® E-11-E makes it easy to use both as emulsifier and as a break control additive (retarder) for slurry. No need for acid: Soap preparation is simple with acid not normally required. The neutral pH of Redicote® E-11-E emulsions is preferred in special applications like tack coats, coatings and when water soluble thickeners are incorporated.
