Production Engineer

The production engineer provides plant support for the Columbus, MS chlorate plant using good engineering practices while ensuring targets are met with respect to project elaboration, cost, safety, health, security, and environment. In addition, the production engineer will develop, submit, and complete plant projects as required in a timely and cost effective manner.

In your future role as Production Engineer, you will 

• Be responsible for supporting Chlorate Production department day to day operations with technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance.
• Be responsible for coordination the installation and commissioning of capital projects.
• Be responsible for writing new process procedures and updating existing procedures as needed.
• Be responsible for maintaining operating procedures, training, development, and certification recommendation of assigned personnel 
• Be responsible for problem-solving and communication of plant activities to ensure continuous and efficient operation 
• Manage and review AdHoc analysis generated by Chlorate
• Lead RCPS related to Chlorate
• Ensure all modifications are conducted through MOC process
• Follow plant standards
• Participate in daily visual management meetings
• Share in other regular meetings (trips, leaks, reliability, toolbox, etc.) as required
• Request support from BCTG other plants as needed
• Escalate issues to management that require immediate attention (incidents, inadequate behaviors, process conditions)
• Any and all other duties, as assigned. 

We believe you bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering field 
• 2 years’ of experience in chemical manufacturing and/or project management preferred
• PSM exposure/experience preferred
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Strong communication skills
