Amphomer® polymer is an amphoteric acrylic hair fixative that offers market-leading stiffness and unprecedented high humidity curl retention properties. It is a stiff resin with unparalleled holding power for ultimate control in all temperature and humidity conditions. Amphomer® polymer can be applied in traditional and low VOC aerosol and pump hair sprays, and styling aids such as mousses, gels, creams, pomades, and glues where long-lasting finishing hold is desired. Amphomer® polymer also provides thermal protection properties (refer to US Patent 9,119,972 B2) and acts as a hair shield for hot heating implements such as flat irons and curling wands, helping to protect the hair cuticle from hair damage caused by heat.

Film former that provides excellent humidity resistance and hold when used in anhydrous or 80% VOC hair sprays. In hair spray systems, it offers improved stiffness, durability, and long-lasting hold compared to Amphomer® polymer. In addition, the Amphomer® 4961 polymer version provides improved compatibility with thickening agents (e.g. carbomer) for hard holding styling gels and other styling aids.

Amphomer® HC polymer is a high performance film-former and hair spray fixative specifically designed for use in systems containing a large proportion of hydrocarbon propellant. It is also compatible with dimethyl ether propellant systems and can be used to produce crystal clear hair spray solutions. Films of the polymer are hard, yet flexible, resulting in formulations that have excellent long-lasting hold. Amphomer® HC polymer provides the well-known market-leading stiffness and humidity resistance similar to Amphomer® polymer.

In 80% VOC hair sprays containing approximately 15% water, Amphomer® LV-71 polymer can provide fine atomization as well as the superior features and benefits expected from Amphomer® polymer, including excellent stiffness and high humidity curl retention properties. Amphomer® LV-71 polymer’s composition is also covered under US Patent 9,119,972 B2, and can act as a hair shield for hot heating implements such as flat irons and curling wands, helping to protect the hair cuticle from hair damage caused by heat.

Balance® 47 polymer is a hydrophobically modified acrylic film-former specially designed to produce superior performance in low VOC aerosol and pump hair sprays containing high levels of water. Due to its unique composition and molecular weight distribution, Balance® 47 polymer overcomes the effects of water over a broad range of hair spray VOC content.

Balance® CR polymer is a film forming hair fixative primarily designed for low VOC aerosol hair spray systems. It is supplied as an easy to use liquid emulsion, provides very low viscosities in high-water formulations, and its molecular weight has been optimized for superior stiffness and high humidity hold. Films of the polymer are hard but provide a more natural, flexible feel on the hair compared to the AMPHOMER® polymer technology. Balance® CR polymer uses Nouryon's low-corrosion technology, which reduces the level of corrosion that is typically associated with emulsion polymers.

Balance® RCFg polymer is a multifunctional film former and rheology modifier that provides cost-effective thickening and versatile performance in a variety of hair styling and surfactant-containing systems. 

Dermacryl® 79 polymer is a hydrophobic, high molecular weight carboxylated acrylic copolymer. Because the polymer is inherently moisture resistant, Dermacryl® 79 polymer can be used in waterproof sunscreens as well as a variety of creams and lotions. The Polymer's film formation properties help maintain active ingredients on the site of application by imparting resistance to abrasion or rub-off.

Dermacryl® AQF film forming polymer is an easy-to-use film former for water resistant sunscreen emulsions. It has been developed to provide excellent water resistance performance without the need to heat or neutralize the polymer.

Dermacryl® C film forming polymer is an innovative film forming polymer technology designed especially for color cosmetics applications. This polymer offers a number of consumer friendly benefits because it forms clear, substantive, flexible films which can improve resistance to wear, enhance water resistance, build volume, and give a soft natural feel.  Although substantive, the Dermacryl® C polymer films are easily removed with warm soapy water or standard make-up removers.

Dermacryl® E polymer is an easy-to-use film former for water resistant sunscreen emulsions. It has been developed to provide excellent water resistance performance without the need to heat or neutralize the polymer. Dermacryl® E polymer is designed with an improvement on sun protection performance from Dermacryl® AQF polymer.

Dermacryl® X provides market leading water and rub-off resistance for reliable high SPF systems with pleasing aesthetics in both inorganic and organic systems delivered from an emulsion base. This polymer also requires no heat or neutralization and can be easily incorporated into emulsion-based sunscreens to help simplify the formulation process.

DynamX® polymer is a unique urethane-acrylic film-former designed especially for hairsprays that deliver flexibility with long-lasting hold performance. Supplied as a pre-neutralized hydro-alcoholic solution, it can be easily formulated into hairsprays and other styling aids. DynamX polymer provides a strong, flexible hold with memory (durable hold) that is required for dynamic hairstyles. The hair is able to move freely, yet returns to its original shape, allowing consumers to maintain a freshly styled look throughout an active day. In addition, the polymer offers high shine with thermal protection benefits.

Alcohol-free DynamX® H2O polymer is a unique urethaneacrylic film-forming polymer designed for use in styling products including creams, waxes, gels, mousses, pomades, ethnic styling products and thermal protection products. DynamX® H2O polymer offers excellent long-lasting curl definition and anti-frizz properties, helping to tame the most unruly hair types. It is designed to provide flexible hold, high humidity curl retention, and shine across a broad range of styling product forms.
