Film formers, sensory enhancers and emulsifiers that help protect the skin from harmful UV radiation
Helping formulators meet consumers' evolving needs
Globally, consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the need to protect their skin from the harmful effects of UV radiation. Demand for these products has driven the sun care market to become the fastest growing personal care sector over the last few years.
New trends have emerged as consumers redefine what is important in their sun protection products: higher Sun Protection Factor (SPF) values, broad spectrum, protection, enhanced water and rub-off resistance, more aesthetically pleasing products and convenience.
By leveraging our technical expertise and the latest health and wellness trends, we are creating innovative ingredients that provide the required properties and new performance standard for emulsion and ethanol-based sun care products.

Featured film forming polymers
Our film-forming polymers offer formulators the ability to create efficacious sun care formulations to suit consumers' varied needs. From water-resistant products for use at the beach to daily-wear moisturizers, today’s sun care products demand both superior function and appealing aesthetics.
A novel bio-based, biodegradable, film-forming polymer that offers superior water resistance and pleasing aesthetics for high SPF emulsion sunscreens. SolAmaze Natural is globally approved and was developed to maintain the performance of leading synthetic polymers while reducing the persistence in the environment.
Popular forms such as alcohol-based aerosol and non-aerosol sprays have created a challenge for formulators as they try to create water resistance in these non-traditional systems. Dermacryl 79 is the ideal choice for these systems due to its alcohol solubility and suitability for aerosol spray systems with excellent water-resistance performance.
It provides water and rub-off resistance for reliable high SPF systems with pleasing aesthetics in both inorganic and organic systems delivered from an emulsion base. This polymer also requires no heat or neutralization and can be easily incorporated into emulsion-based sunscreens to help simplify the formulation process.
A virtually universal ingredient suited for formulating spray emulsions as well as traditional creams and lotions. The super light skin feel makes it the ideal choice for low to medium SPF daily skin care.
Provides effective and durable film formation, enabling the formulation of extremely long-lasting, high SPF systems.
