Expancel® microspheres – a small thermoplastic sphere encapsulating a gas. Add heat and they expand dramatically up to 60 times their original volume, with dual functionality as both a lightweight filler and a blowing agent, supported by unmatched technology know-how, ensuring smooth integration into any process.
With Expancel® microspheres in the mix, manufacturers can achieve the same level of filling as with larger amounts of conventional fillers. This reduction in filler content results in significant cost savings, as they require less material to produce the same volume of for example automotive putty or body filler.
