Peter Greenwood received his Doctoral Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. Peter has been working with colloidal silica and coatings since 1991 and with Nouryon AB, (former Akzo Nobel Chemicals) Colloidal Silica, since 1998, currently as Global Technical Development Manager.
He has written twenty-five technical scientific papers on the topic of colloidal silica and is the inventor or co-inventor of twenty-four patented inventions. He has also written a chapter, “Some Important, Fairly New Uses of Silica Sols “, in “Colloidal Silica Fundamentals and applications “, edited by Dr. Horacio Bergna and William Roberts and published by Marcel Dekker in 2005. Peter has further written a chapter,” Functionalization of colloidal silica nanoparticles and their use in paint and coatings”, in Concise Encyclopedia of High-Performance Silicones, 2013.
