The Government of India declared a nationwide lockdown in March 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19. As the world’s second-most-populous country and growing number of positive cases, India was faced with the immense challenge of rapidly responding to the pandemic with limited healthcare infrastructure.
Rising to meet this challenge, the government took immediate steps to strengthen and create more resilient healthcare centers. Nouryon, alongside the Mahad Manufacturers Association (MMA) and other industrial members, joined together in response to the government’s appeal by volunteering and donating to help build a community healthcare center.
