October 2022
Throughout the month, our employees worked closely with community partners and nonprofit organizations who share our philosophy of inclusion, collaboration, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. This year’s Global Month of Service resulted in 24 projects across 8 countries, with more than 500 volunteers, and countless service hours. The work, which included preparing and donating back-to-school supplies and providing access to STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and safety education, benefited underserved children in communities around the world.
“Nouryon has always led service projects and engaged with local communities,” said Samantha Dreilinger, Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President of Inclusion & Diversity (I&D). “We have mobilized our employees in community service before, including donating and hand-delivering essential supplies to families in need during COVID-19. However, Nouryon’s Global Month of Service represented the first time we collectively served as a company on a worldwide scale simultaneously. We are thrilled that our employees took advantage of this unique opportunity to connect, grow personally, and do good for our local communities.”
“The connections and relationship building that result from volunteer opportunities are invaluable,” added Ciana Williams, Regional Compliance Officer and I&D Counsel, who led the global initiative and participated in a service project in Houston, TX, US. “I am heartened to see our employees’ commitment to this work and the positive impact it has on individuals, families, and communities.”
Thank you to all our volunteers, the I&D Network, and other supporting participants who went above and beyond to partner and organize service events around the world. This is a great example of how we live our values to ‘Aim high’, ‘Own it’, and ‘Do it right’ and contribute to a sustainable future.
