“At the Nouryon’s Ningbo site, 100 percent of our electricity consumption originated from renewable sources beginning in 2023,” said Eduardo Nardinelli, Senior Vice President of South America & Global Carbon Business Leader at Nouryon. “This transition to renewable electricity is estimated to eliminate more than 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, making a significant contribution to Nouryon’s global sustainability agenda by reducing Scope 2 emissions.”

Nouryon’s sustainability commitment and effort to reduce its carbon footprint extends to its entire manufacturing network. In 2023, 25 out of 60 manufacturing sites operated by Nouryon were sourced with renewable and/or low carbon electricity, comprising 54% of the total electricity used by the company globally.

This prestigious award was announced at the second Power Market High-End Forum, where a coalition of esteemed organizations, including the China Electricity Council, Beijing Power Exchange Centre, and Guangzhou Power Exchange Centre, jointly released the “2023 China Top 100 Green Electricity (Green Certificate) Consumption Companies List.”
