This grade is our highest purity and is designed to meet the stringent demands of customers in chemical and metal processing applications. The pulp and paper industry uses hydrogen peroxide as a bleaching agent and as a reducing agent in the production of chlorine dioxide. In the chemical industry, hydrogen peroxide plays a major role in the production of both inorganic and organic products. Examples include the manufacturing of percarbonates, perborate, peracetic acid, a wide variety of organic peroxides and propylene oxide. Hydrogen peroxide is a natural choice for environmental remediation and wastewater treatment due to its effectiveness and harmless degradation products. Its bactericidal properties make it useful in various water disinfection applications. C-grade is also used for PPA (peracetic acid).
