Detailed description

Trigonox® A-W70 can be used as an initiator in bulk, aqueous solution and emulsion polymerization of styrene, acrylates and methacrylates. The polymerization can be initiated by radicals generated by the thermal decomposition of Trigonox® A-W70 above 110°C or through a redox mechanism at low temperatures. Effective organic reducing agents are ascorbic acid and sodium formaldehyde sulfoxylate, possibly combined with heavy metal compounds such as cobalt or iron salts. Typical applications of Trigonox® A-W70 include: manufacture of acrylate, vinylacetate, styrene-butadiene and other latices, curing of styrene-polyester resins and use as an oxidizing agent for hydrocarbons or other chemicals.

Trigonox® A-W70 is an organic hydroperoxide suitable for use in fracking fluids. It can be used to break down the polymers used in hydraulic fracturing operations as an efficient and cost-effective alternative to encapsulated persulfates. Trigonox® A-W70 exhibits exceptional performance in breaking down guar-based fracking fluids, ensuring a complete and efficient polymer degradation thereby improving the flow of oil or gas. An accelerator (e.g. reducing agent) can be used to further enhance the performance and reduce the activation temperature of Trigonox® A-W70. This allows for faster and more effective breaking of polymers, even at lower temperatures. Trigonox® A-W70 is ideal for use in all types of fracking operations, including shale gas extraction, oil recovery and coalbed methane production.
