Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals
In 2019, we conducted a Materiality Assessment amongst internal and external stakeholders to identify the issues that are of most importance to the company, such as health and safety; sustainable innovation and product development; and energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
Our sustainable solutions align with the following ten UN SDGs and are well-positioned to meet the demand and opportunities created by several societal trends. These global trends include a growing population, a rising and increasingly health-conscious middle class, climate change, and the need to preserve natural resources Our solutions can help increase crop yields and improve their quality; make products that are more biodegradable or easier to recycle; contribute to making buildings and vehicles more energy efficient; and improve the durability of bridges and wind turbines.
We are committed to transparency and discloses its sustainability progress in an annual Sustainability Report, which is assured by an independent third party and our annual sustainability data reporting sheet.
