About the job

• Performs necessary activities to ensure product regulatory compliance to relevant chemical regulations in the region for the assigned regulatory categories and business lines.
• Provides regulatory advice and information on substance and/or product level to business and RD&I.
• Country Expertise leader for assigned countries/Categories Korea.

In your future role as “ Regulatory Specialist” you will

Ensure Regional product compliance

• Contribute to regional compliance in the region and providing timely communication to business and impact analysis of new and draft chemical regulations in Korea
• Establish and retain KREACH expertise, manage KREACH IT platform and do registrations with outsourced partner for the assigned business lines for Korea markets
• Interpret regulatory requirements for KBPR, SDS & Label, food contact and other application regulations, and facilitate application registrations with outsourced partner
• Coordinate regulatory compliance checks and documentation
• Develop product regulatory information in files or in databases.

Proactive monitoring of Chemical Regulation developments/trends

• Monitor and communicate regulatory developments in Korea for the regulations on chemical management and the use of chemicals.
• Support business goals by providing regulatory advice and information on substance and product level proactively to business and RD&I

Strategic customer support

• Support business by responding to strategic customer’s enquires related to regulatory information (not already provided in SDS/PRID/other statements).
• Develop and maintain regulatory statements.
• Prepare all necessary PSRA information/documentation for the launch of a new or changed product or import of new product to the region and sign off in Product introduction systems (MLM, Accolade etc)

General

• Participate in projects within the PSRA area, like global launching of new products.

We believe you bring

• B. Sc in chemistry and > 8 years of relevant experience or M Sc in chemistry, chemical engineering and >2 year of relevant experience
• 0 – 8 years of work experience in regulatory, environmental, HSE or R&D depending upon base education and job level.

Great if you have

• Basic knowledge of chemical regulations
• Good skills in Microsoft Office Applications and in SAP/EHS.
• Ability to build up a network being service oriented, organized, flexible and reliable
• Excellent communication skills and very good in English and Korea
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Acts pro-actively with integrity
• Demonstrated ability to work with and in ambiguous environments, be able to adapt and be flexible in often stressful situations
