About the job

In this new role as Global Electrical Engineer you will be functional leader of the global Electrical team and you will be responsible for the global Electrical Equipment Strategy and its implementation.

The Global Electrical Engineer works closely with the regional Maintenance & Reliability  support teams to assess performance opportunities and reliability gaps; to identify needs for standards and practices, to support deployment of standards and practices, to support end-of-life management of equipment and advise on replacement, to develop skills within the regional teams, to leverage external good practices and internal good practices across the company.

In your future role as Global Electrical Engineer you will

• Design Electrical Equipment strategy and advise Nouryon leadership regarding Electrical Equipment strategy
• Monitor adherence to standards and Electrical Equipment reliability
• Advise regional teams on how to drive improvement in reliability of Electrical Equipment
• Design and deploy end-of-life management programs; assess need for replacement/overhaul investments
• Take a leading role in large replacement programs; such as replacements of main transformers and associated equipment and rectifier/transformers and associated equipment.
• Identify good practices and drive deployment of these good practices across the regions
• Assess state of the art techniques for condition based/predictive maintenance for different types of Electrical Equipment, and develop these into packages that can be deployed with/through regional teams
• Monitor, and if needed, support root cause analysis/root cause problem solving for serious failures.
• Drive quality of RCAs & drive application of learnings across sites/regions
• Create a global network of Nouryon Electrical engineers

We believe you bring

• Electrical engineering degree (bachelor’s or master’s)
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the design, operation, and maintenance of Electrical Equipment and associated support systems, as well as predictive/condition based methods applied in Industry.
• Active knowledge on standards and codes and their application on Electrical Equipment such as NFPA 70B, NFPA 70E, IEEE 1814 and European and Chinese equivalents.
• Experience and good working knowledge in main intake transformers, rectifier/transformers, harmonic filter, protection relays, etc.
• Preferably a Professional Engineering certification.
• Experience in at least a regional Electrical subject matter expert role; setting standards and driving implementation across multiple sites

• A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.
• A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge and experience between EUR 107,200 and EUR 145.000

Good to know

This is a new permanent position on a full-time basis, based in preferably in Deventer but Amsterdam is also an option. You need to be willing to travel for the job when needed, on average 20% of the time, ranging from shorter trips of several days to longer periods.
