About the job 


In your role as a Global Marketing & Product Manager XLPA (Crosslinking and Polymer Additives), you will be at the forefront of both the marketing and product management efforts for assigned segments and product lines. This multifaceted position combines strategic planning, market analysis, product development, and team leadership to drive the organization's growth and success.
Polymer Specialties produces metal alkyls, organic peroxides and polymer additives, which primarily are used as initiators and co-catalysts in the production and processing of polymers. The main applications are in polyolefin production, thermoset plastics and cross linking of plastic and rubber. The business line Polymer Specialties is headquartered in Deventer, with regional centers in North America and Asia and has over 250 employees worldwide.

 


In your future role as Global Marketing & Product Manager, you will
 

 

  • Develop and implement market and product strategies for assigned market segments and product lines with global market segment teams.
  • Provide volume, NS, and CM growth plans and identify/deliver large capital investment projects.
  • Address customer/market needs with new offerings, define R&D priorities, and develop launch plans. Create value propositions, develop sales toolkits and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue M&A opportunities (where applicable) with marketing and business line VP’s and corporate M&A function.
  • Drive business improvement and planning in the IBP process and lead PMR and segment meetings providing marketing guidance for mid/long-term demand forecasting.
  • Develop and negotiate business deals to support market segment strategies, including tolling, strategic raw material agreements, and IP licensing.
  • Accountable for long-term Volume, NS, CM, and EBITDA delivery, develop segment pricing strategies, and drive operational performance improvements. Set product pricing corridors and manage alignment across segments.
  • Develop competitive understanding with Market Intelligence and Sales function as input for segment strategy.
  • Optimize product portfolio, manage production footprint, and coordinate global product allocations.
  • Develop and implement cost optimization strategies.

 

 

 

We believe you bring


 

  • Master / PhD degree, preferably in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or Business/Economics, or similar level through experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of segment product portfolio, competitive landscape and markets/applications, minimum 5–7-year experience in Sales & Marketing in the chemical industry.
