About the job 

This role is a key member of the Indirects Procurement Leadership team.  The role provides leadership to the Global Functional/Corporate Services Purchasing Team.  The team consists of 8 to 10 sourcing professionals, located in the US, Europe, Latin America, Asia and India.  Areas of support include, but are not limited to:  IT, Human Resources, Insurance, Legal, Marketing and Communications, Travel and Expense.  


 
In your future role as Global Category Leader you will  
 

  • Lead the development and implementation of efficient sourcing and category management strategies.
  • Lead the implementation and improvement of standard sourcing processes, the required culture and sourcing continuous improvement programs.
  • Identify best practices and industry benchmarks.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth market knowledge within areas of responsibility.
  • Develop the organization to identify improvement areas, explore cost reduction opportunities and establish a total cost of ownership approach internally and with external suppliers.
  • Actively work to improve commercial terms with suppliers, identifying ways to support minimize spending and reduce cost to support the company’s financial objectives.
  • Actively work with key stakeholders in the businesses, functions and ISC to build alignment around targets and establish common execution plans to support business growth and profitability improvement.
  • Travel: 10% 

 

We believe you bring
 

  • Extensive experience in procurement and/or functional (corporate service) role
  • Change management: managing improvement programs with diverse teams as well as the cultural aspects of the change to be delivered.
  • Experience in Sourcing including Strategic Sourcing Methodology and contract management. 
  • University bachelor’s or master’s degree level, preferably in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering or similar applicable to the categories of management.


Great if you have

 

  • Experience (direct / indirect) dealing with sales and customer service organizations.
  • Strong project management experience with lean management methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
