About the Job:

 

Under general supervision, the QC Lab Technician will perform duties associated with the testing and analysis of chemicals and other products to ensure all products meet quality specifications and customer demands.

 

 

In your future role as QC Lab Technician you will:

 

  • Prioritize Safety: Follow all laboratory, plant, and company safety procedures, wearing required PPE at all times.
  • Work Collaboratively: Function effectively within a team or independently, as needed.
  • Perform Analytical Testing: Utilize laboratory instruments and testing procedures to analyze chemical products, ensuring they meet required quality standards. Recommend adjustments to operations to maintain product specifications.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Log quality control data in lab notebooks, SAP, and Excel databases with precision.
  • Approve and Release Materials: Validate raw materials, intermediates, and in-process results for production, and release quality-approved finished products for shipment.
  • Adapt to Flexible Schedules: Be available for rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate a forklift when necessary.
  • Train and Oversee Personnel: Provide guidance and oversight to contract personnel as needed.
  • Support Operations: Perform additional duties as required to meet operational goals.

 

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • High School Diploma (HSD) required; Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the manufacturing of sulfonated naphthalene surfactants for the agriculture industry is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) is required.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working rotating shifts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the PQC Manager in Fort Worth, TX.
