About the job:

 

The Business Development Manager will spearhead the growth of our agrochemicals and food division in North America. This role involves strategic market development, deep engagement with customers, and leveraging strong chemical and industry knowledge to expand our presence in the market.

 

In your future role as a Business Development Manager, you will:

 

  • Develop and implement strategic business plans to grow the crop protection and food division within North America.
  • Support the commercial team in developing the agrochemical and food markets, presenting to the customers product innovations, tracking competitors' activities, working closely with R&D in regional and global projects.
  • Maintain and expand customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and business retention.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of chemical adjuvants used in the agriculture market to provide expert advice and solutions to customers.
  • Identify and capitalize on market opportunities through detailed market analysis and competitor assessments.
  • Collaborate with R&D, supply chain, and technical teams to ensure product and service excellence.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts and commercial agreements with strategic partners and customers.
  • Provide leadership and direction in marketing strategies and initiatives.

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of agrochemical industry in sales, marketing, R&D or project management position, including experience with international customers.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, agronomy, business or a closely related field.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a robust understanding of the agrochemical market and technologies.
  • Fluent in English. Spanish as second language will be a plus.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently with high energy and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.

 

Good to know:

 

  • The Business Development Manager reports directly to the Head of Sales North America and collaborates closely with internal teams such as R&D, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Legal, Marketing, and Finance.
  • This is a permanent position on a full-time basis.
  • This is a remote position with a 50% travel requirement
