About the job:

 

As the Corporate Communications and Event Specialist, you are responsible for supporting strategic global internal communications for the Company’s manufacturing organization and managing key corporate events. This role works closely with internal stakeholders at all levels to understand business needs, goals and objectives for key situations, initiatives and programs and recommends, develops, and implements communication solutions, approaches and tactics to most effectively reach target audiences and achieve desired outcomes.

 

In your future role as Corporate Communications and Event Specialist, you will:

 

  • Support the Chief Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Officer with internal communications strategies and deliverables including written communications, presentation materials, webcasts, and town halls
  • Plan, edit, write, design, and post content for a variety of internal communications channels, such as the employee intranet, employee announcements, town halls, and weekly newsletters
  • Support key internal and external events and other initiatives to promote employee, customer and community engagement and strengthen the company culture
  • Support event communications and brand initiatives with event execution, presentation creation, crafting memos, talking points, and video scripts
  • Support assigned event logistics including venue selections, site inspections, hotel management, food & beverage selections, invitation materials, and promotional items
  • Develop communication timeline, cadence, and content for all events; sharing relevant details with those who need them, communicating in a timely, succinct manner 

We believe you bring:

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field ideal
  • Previous work experience at a multinational company preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into simple and compelling messaging for very different audiences
  • Skilled at PPT presentation creation and formatting best practice/ brand compliance
  • Excellent, proven project management experience; the ability to run multiple projects simultaneously while also developing effective communications under time constraints, including in urgent, critical, or crisis situations
  • A data-driven approach to measuring and quantifying the impact of internal communications to ensure we’re delivering the desired results and listening to employee feedback

  • This position will be onsite in Houston, TX, and report to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications.
