Business Continuity Program Manager – Business & Operations Lead


The Business Continuity Program Manager IT/IM Lead will drive key components of the overall business continuity program for Nouryon and focus on cross functional evaluation of continuity risks related to product supply and business operations. This role will lead the development of continuity plans with key stakeholders, align supply continuity planning within the global scope of the business continuity program and pilot overall program adherence for their scope. This role will have significant input into the overall business continuity strategy and will advise senior leadership alongside the Vice President of Business Continuity.

In your future role as Business Continuity Program Manager – Business & Operations Lead, you will 

  • Lead the planning and implementation of business continuity program and projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Lead functional teams to identify and evaluate business continuity risks and the potential impacts on the organization.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with business, IM, and leadership to ensure a cohesive approach to business continuity.
  • Drive the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver business continuity training to staff members across the organization.
  • Organize and oversee regular business continuity exercises to test the effectiveness of plans and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain centralized templates, procedures and guidance for business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Coordinate the development, maintenance, and improvement of comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and plans.
  • Ensure that all business continuity documentation is up-to-date and complies with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain reports and other documentation related to business continuity efforts.
  • Function as a leader in response during actual incidents and ensure effective management and recovery as directed by supervision
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned to strengthen future responses.

We believe you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or sciences; MBA preferred 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading or directing project portfolio management 
  • 5 or more years of leadership experience (leading or managing programs or personnel) and demonstrated experience handling stakeholders of all levels)
  • Significant experience within the operations value chain such as a process/production engineering or integrated business planning role
  • Experience working in chemicals or related industry preferred 
  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or equivalent certification is highly desirable 
  • Proven experience in project management and business continuity/disaster recovery planning
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles
  • Excellent leadership & organizational skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Proficient in project management software skills
