Regional OT Cybersecurity Lead

 

About the job:

 

Nouryon’s Houston, TX location is looking for top candidates to fill the key role of Regional OT Cybersecurity Lead. This position is essential to:

 

Developing, supporting, and executing cyber security initiatives to protect Nouryon’s production locations in North & South America.

 

 

In your future role as a Regional OT Cybersecurity Lead, you will:

 

  • Support, orchestrate, and train, on-site engineers and cyber security representatives on applicable cyber security measures in all production sites located in North and South America.
  • Build great relationships and partnerships with site engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Drive remediation activities and projects.
  • Write and provide input to technical cyber security standards for industrial control systems.
  • Apply and coordinate adherence to Nouryon’s OT cyber security standard and other cyber security policies.
  • Identify and report on current cyber security risks and evaluate the cyber security maturity level of production sites.

 

 

We Believe You Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, industrial automation or other related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • OT cyber security certifications such as GICSP, GIAC or GRID are a plus.
  • Certifications in Vendor OT Cybersecurity Platforms are a plus.
  • Experience in OT systems architecture and design (including knowledge of industrial communication protocols and technologies from automation vendors such as Emerson, Siemens, and ABB among others).
  • Experience in performing OT risk assessments, threat assessments, and an understanding of OT vulnerabilities.
  • Minimum of 8 years of work experience in cyber security related projects.
  • Experience supporting and working with various IT and cyber security technologies such as Active Directory, networking, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS and antivirus.
  • Knowledge of internationally recognized OT security standards, e.g. IEC 62443/ISA 99, NIST SP 800-82, NERC CIP, TSA Cybersecurity Requirements, C2M2.
  • Relevant experience in different multiple units of chemical plants, disciplines, locations (cultures – international environment) and/or other companies are a plus.
  • Risk analysis – Identify and analyze cyber security risks, stakeholders and linkages to other activities and define required risk remediation activities

Result: Cyber security risks are identified, reported, clear, and well understood

  • Remediation execution – Coordinate, monitor and accountably manage remediation activities, manage, and mitigate cyber security risks, issues, changes and deviations and resources and take corrective actions when necessary.

Result: Timely delivery of remediation activities and reporting of information to the CISO

  • Relations Management – Build, maintain and utilize a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners and represent OT security within the organization

Result: Cohesive relationships that contributes to risk remediation

  • Technical expertise – Be a Subject Matter Expert on OT cyber security, formulate technical security requirements, standards, and procedures, ensure site involvement, determine required resources for remediation activities, clarify role and involvement level of site personnel

Result: Technical support and expertise is available and required resources are approved

  • Travel– Willingness to travel up to 25% of time to production sites in the region
  • People Development and Training (where applicable) Train, (functionally) lead, coach, appraise and develop site personnel, and stimulate talent (management)

Result: Site personnel is engaged, deployable (quantitative and qualitative) and capable of realizing cyber security objectives

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Cybersecurity and Architecture Engineering Director, based in Houston, TX.
