Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer

 

About the job:

 

Nouryon’s Houston, TX location is looking for top candidates to fill the key role of Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer. This position is essential to:

 

Supporting the cyber security initiatives to protect Nouryon through the secure configuration and maintenance of cybersecurity tools.

 

 

In your future role as a Sr. Cybersecurity Engineer, you will:

 

  • Communicate cybersecurity information & requirements to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify any improvements within the infrastructure environment which can enhance the overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Support/Collaborate with interdepartmental teams on cybersecurity deliverables.
  • Support implementation of cybersecurity controls.

 

 

We Believe You Bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or other related fields or equivalent professional experience.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, SC-100, GICSP, GIAC or GRID are a plus.
  • Certifications in vendor Cybersecurity Platforms are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in cyber security related projects.
  • Experience supporting and working with various IT and cyber security technologies (IAM, Endpoint, Networking, Perimeter, Cloud).
  • Knowledge of internationally recognized Cybersecurity security standards & frameworks, e.g. NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-82, CSA CAIQ, SOX.
  • Relevant experience in different multiple units of chemical plants, disciplines, locations (cultures – international environment) and/or other companies are a plus.
  • Risk analysis – Identify and analyze cyber security risks, stakeholders and linkages to other activities and define required risk remediation activities
  • Result: Cyber security risks are identified, reported, clear, and well understood
  • Remediation execution – Coordinate, monitor and accountably execute remediation activities to mitigate cybersecurity risk and take corrective actions when necessary.
  • Result: Timely delivery of remediation activities and reporting of information to the Director of Cybersecurity Architecture & Engineering
  • Relations Management – Build, maintain and utilize a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners within the organization
  • Result: Cohesive relationships that contributes to risk remediation
  • Technical expertise – Be a Subject Matter Expert on cybersecurity tooling, help deploy technology to enforce technical security requirements, standards, and procedures.
  • Result: Technical support and expertise is available and required resources are approved

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Cybersecurity and Architecture Engineering Director, based in Houston, TX.
