About the Job:

 

The Warehouse Systems Specialist is responsible for executing daily shipping / site logistics activities in SAP for outplants without direct SAP link, as well as supervising and supporting these activities for outplants that have a direct link. The Specialist will be assigned responsibility for a group of outplants within the region, with the specific number determined by geography proximity, shipment count, business complexity & special attributes, and individual experience/capability. The Specialist represents Nouryon at the outplants, and outplants within Nouryon with the common goal of improving the outplant network performance and contribution to Nouryon's growth.

 

 

In your future as Warehouse Systems Specialist you will:

 

  • Manage daily outplant operations.
  • Monitor site logistics activities in SAP for SAP-direct outplants and oversee monitoring and execution for non-SAP direct outplants. Tasks include picking instructions, creating transport and export documents, booking GI/GR, and processing COAs.
  • Plan and execute repacking and relabeling operations.
  • Monitor and book stock adjustments for blocked or damaged stock.
  • Monitor and control the inbound and outbound order flow for SAP-direct outplants.
  • Lead or participate in daily operational calls with outplants and internal stakeholders to ensure planned orders are shipped and swiftly identify and resolve issues.
  • Archive shipping documents received from outplants.
  • Participate in periodic performance reviews for large outplants or lead them for small outplants.
  • Participate in inventory controls for large outplants or lead them for small outplants, including the execution of annual stock counts or cycle counts.
  • Handle and investigate complaints.
  • Update the global outplant database and facility details.
  • Validate invoices and approve costs.
  • Identify frequency and causes of service failures and participate in efforts to implement solutions.
  • Execute site logistics activities in SAP to ensure supply reliability of outplants under your responsibility.
  • Act as the daily operational focal point for all matters related to assigned outplants at the order level.

 

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field from a 4-year accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience of at least 5 years in site logistics/warehouse.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in warehousing or supply chain, preferably within chemical companies.
  • Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to logistics (e.g., SAP, TMS, WMS) and general business management (e.g., MS Excel, Word).
  • Experience with SAP in managing purchase orders, invoices, inventory discrepancies, and goods receipts/issues.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of performing warehousing and site shipping activities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with various levels and functions within the organization, including global team members and third parties.
  • Strong analytical skills and abilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and develop quick solutions.
  • Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to support process improvement initiatives while balancing daily responsibilities.
  • 10% travel required; occasional travel.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis reporting to Regional Warehouse Manager in Houston, TX.
