Production Engineer

About the job:

Nouryon’s Morris, IL location is looking for top candidates to fill the key role of Production Engineer. This position is essential to:

Production Engineers are at the frontline of our operations group working with shift personnel on technical items for equipment performance, troubleshooting, identifying optimization opportunities, and executing projects to align with business goals. OEE and data tracking, teambuilding and coordination between departments align within the role to build up the next level of leaders in Nouryon.

In your future role as a Production Engineer, you will:

Provide technical support and solutions to the production units in Morris and support the Morris mission. This production engineering role will be heavily involved with SOP updates and improvements, PHAs/HAZOPs, MOCs, CAPEX support for the units along with daily troubleshooting and monitoring of critical process parameters and training operations.

We Believe You Bring:

Bachelors of Engineering/Chemical Engineering.
0-3 years experience level.
Competencies in basic Engineering data, computer skills (Excel, Word etc.).
Competencies in JMP/Minitab, ASPEN, HYSIS, Mathlab, PowerBI.
Good communication skills, strong troubleshooting, able to work outdoors for extended periods.
Preferred E.I.T (Engineer in Training).

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Operations Team Lead, based in Morris, IL.
