In your future role as Truck Driver you will:

 


Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver Nouryon product to customer sites in a safe and timely manner.
  • Assure paper work is accurate and in order. 
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations.
  • Maintain road equipment in good working order. Report any items needing repair/attention promptly and follow up to make sure repairs are done in a timely manner.
  • Report any information from customer's that might be helpful in the servicing of that customer.
  • Report on any business intelligence that is overheard in the course of delivering to our customers.

 

 

Health, Safety, Security, and Environment Specific Responsibilities:

 

  • Understand and help implement the Pasadena Functional Chemicals Site Operating Policy and Objectives which includes MTQ and ISO/RC 14001.
  • Be aware of potential health, safety, security, and environmental impacts in area of responsibility and the actions required should an issue occur.
  • Understand and implement any parts of the Pasadena Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan that apply to your area of responsibility.
  • Participate in the site's on—going Pollution Prevention Process.

 

 

We believe you bring:

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a GED; High School Diploma preferred.
  • At least 5 years of truck driving experience with trailers and tank cars.
  • Valid CDL license with HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Experience driving in cold environments and with refrigerated trailers.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Ability to wear Flame-Resistant Clothing (FRCs), steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and a hard hat.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver a 2,000-pound pallet jack inside a trailer.
  • Completion of DOT (Department of Transportation) training.
  • Strong productivity, work quality, organization, planning, and adherence to health, safety, security, and environmental standards.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Logistics Supervisor in Houston, TX.
