About the job: 

 

The Operator I is responsible for running plant equipment safely and efficiently, while meeting quality standards and production goals to keep customers satisfied.

 

 

In your future role as Operator I you will:

 

  • Operate plant equipment and processes in your assigned area safely and efficiently.
  • Know the mechanical operation of piping and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
  • Understand and operate control systems and instrumentation.
  • Assist in training team members and developing job analyses.
  • Handle hazardous waste following all state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Follow safety protocols and environmental compliance plans.
  • Identify and resolve issues to meet production and quality goals.

 

 

We believe you bring:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-5 years of plant process experience (process operator certification is a plus!).
  • OR 2-year Associate Degree in Technology (can waive experience).
  • Physically able to climb stairs/ladders and lift at least 55 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE: respirator, gloves, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hard hat.
  • Must join the Emergency Response Team.
  • Ability to see color-coded labels, hear audio alarms, and read/write in English to document work.
  • Good finger dexterity to type and operate the control system (DCS board).

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Production Supervisor at our site in Pasadena, TX.
