About the job: 

Nouryon’s Radnor, PA location is looking for top candidates to fill the key role of Indirect Tax Manager – North America. This position is essential to:  
 

• Oversee the indirect tax processes and compliance for US and Canada (sales & use tax, property tax and Canadian indirect taxes) 
• Support implementing the medium and long-term global indirect tax strategy and objectives (aligned with Nouryon’s overall corporate and business strategy)  
• Monitor indirect tax legislative changes and communicate those changes to key stakeholders and ensuring compliance  
• Lead indirect tax audits  
• Provide indirect tax advice to the business and provide input on other indirect tax-related queries 

In your future role as Indirect Tax Manager – North America, you will be:
 

• ​​Responsible for overseeing and monitoring the indirect tax processes and compliance for US/CA with our external advisors, including sales & use, property tax, and Canadian indirect taxes, with a main focus on sales & use tax. 
• ​Responsible for supporting the implementation of the medium and long term global indirect tax strategy and objectives (aligned with Nouryon’s overall corporate and business strategy) 
• ​Responsible for monitoring indirect tax legislative changes and communicating those changes to key stakeholders and ensuring compliance 
• ​Responsible for identifying and implementing indirect tax related (optimization) opportunities 
• ​Responsible for supporting the maintenance of Vertex O Series tax software. 
• ​Responsible for providing indirect tax advice on and contributing to business projects and provide input on other indirect tax related queries 
• ​Responsible for leading indirect tax audits 
• ​Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with key stakeholders within Nouryon and managing external advisors 
• ​Responsible for educating the business on indirect tax matters

We Believe You Bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in US/CA indirect taxes (big 4 or in-house) 
• Candidate must possess ability to monitor tax legislative changes and communicate effectively any changes that impact the company.  
• Expert knowledge of US Sales and Use Tax is required.  Familiarity with Canadian GST/HST and US property tax is desirable. 
• Experience with indirect tax processes in multinational companies 
• Ability to translate indirect tax rules into business requirements and pinpoint indirect tax relevant impact of business decisions   
• Experience with Vertex tax software or similar tool is required 
• Basic SAP experience is desirable 
• Ability to build relationships with customers/stakeholders in a multi-national environment 
• Clear communication skills  
• Analytical thinker
