About the Job:

We are seeking a dedicated Process Control Engineer to maintain the reliability, consistency, and security of all plant control systems, including DeltaV DCS, PLCs, standalone controllers, and instrumentation. In this role, you will manage process control systems, support capital projects, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and GMP practices. Your expertise will be critical to the smooth operation and safety of our plant processes.

In Your Future Role as Process Control Engineer You Will:

• Manage Process and Plant Control Systems:
  • Design, configure, integrate, and implement process control solutions, including DCS, SIS, batch software, HMI, and SCADA systems.
  • Lead small capital projects, overseeing scope definition, engineering design, cost estimation, software configuration, bid preparation, MOC documentation, contractor supervision, and operator training.
  • Provide engineering support for instrumentation and control systems on larger capital projects.
  • Offer technical support for plant control systems, data acquisition systems, and maintenance operations.

• Cybersecurity Leadership:
  • Serve as the Site Cyber Security Officer (SCSO).
  • Deploy, monitor, and enhance cybersecurity measures for plant systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including asset inventories and network diagrams.
  • Align cybersecurity practices with third parties and global teams (CISO Office, ISC, IM).
  • Communicate cybersecurity regulations to third parties and provide incident support as needed.

• Ensure Compliance with GMP Standards:
  • Adhere to and enforce applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) within all control system operations.

• ​​Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Compliance:
  • Actively participate in HSES activities as directed by management or outlined in the Annual Site Plan.
  • Maintain accurate interlock documentation and ensure correct field implementation.

We Believe You Bring:

Education:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in the process industry.
• Proven proficiency with Emerson DeltaV systems.
• Hands-on experience with batch processing and process instrumentation.
• Experience collaborating with instrumentation and control system vendors.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with OSI Pi or MES software.
• A strong background in cybersecurity practices related to control systems.

Good to know:

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Production Manager in Salisbury, NC.
