Contractor Coordinator

About the job

The Contractor Coordinator will be responsible for managing contractor maintenance activities in a cost-effective manner while continuously driving contractor process improvements to increase contractor maintenance effective and efficiency. They will also facilitate capital infrastructure improvements throughout the site. 

 

 

In your future role as a Contractor Coordinator you will

  • Ensure that contractors comply to all safety rules, assuring maintenance personnel are aware of and employing safe working practices and promoting safety programs and behaviors
  • Follow-up on contractor performance scorecards and complete quarterly performance assessments on all core maintenance contractors
  • Develop and oversee contractor audit process, including a “wrench time” sampling process
  • Analyze data to identify top wrench time barriers and create action plans to eliminate
  • Ensure work done is according to agreed upon scope, within timeframe, and quality standards
  • Ensure worked hours and other cost are registered in CMMS system, enabling verification of invoice.
  • Manage deviations (scope, quality, time, worked hours/cost)
  • Facilitate infrastructure capital improvements that involve contractor coordination and are primarily qualify for under $50k CAPEX.
    • Responsible for project scope definition
    • Contractor selections, preliminary and detailed cost estimates, schedule activities, report progress and lead PSSR.
    • Endure project is designed in accordance with all applicable codes, standards and permits.
    • Initiate and complete equipment changes as well as support others with fact preparation in MOC process including maintain P&ID, update MES and SAP Functional Location structure.
  • Understand and help implement the site’s Operating Policy, and HSSE goals and objectives.
  • Support and participate in on-going HSSE improvement activities and committees.
  • Be aware of potential health, safety, security, and environmental impacts in area of responsibility and the consequences if an upset occurs.
  • Understand and implement any parts of the Environmental Compliance Plan and Waste Management Plan that apply to area of responsibility.
  • Participate in the site’s on-going Pollution Prevention Process
  • Be fully aware of your specific quality assurance responsibilities.
  • Be familiar with sitewide document control, internal quality audits, corrective action, nonconforming product, and record keeping procedures.
  • Be sure employees under supervision, if applicable, are aware of and are adequately trained in quality procedures.
  • Other duties and assignments as directed by the Maintenance Manager

 

We believe you will bring

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 1-3 years of contractor experience
  • Must be able to wear a respirator if needed
  • Must be able to be “On Call” and respond within 2 hours
