About the job

As a Technical Development Manager for our business Micronutrients, it’s your responsibility to technically support the Micronutrients product line on a world-wide basis internally, and after 1-2 training years also externally. Your challenge is to maintain our leadership position through customer recognition, based on (your) best market knowledge, new product launches and agronomic practices. You will be trained first and guided by two experienced Agronomists in the team.

In your future role as Technical Development Manager/ Agronomist you will

  • Provide necessary level of technical information to the Sales & Marketing organization, Agents and Distributors.
  • Assist on the execution of trials according the agreed contract.
  • Advice customers with technical arguments on their product choice.
  • As the “agronomic expert” present opportunities and convince others.
  • As a “technical product expert”, responsible for evaluating market intelligence to propose developable business and product concepts and help customers with their product choice.
  • Deliver training to customers on the use and application of the products and equipment.
  • Liaise with authorities in order to maintain and obtain registrations of products  or comply with legal requirements.
  • Maintain, update and prepare product documents such as Product Data Leaflets, User Recommendation Sheets, Product labels and Technical Leaflets.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate competitive product and market information and keep a data-base.
  • Support new product introduction by screening product features, conducting feasibility studies, identifying product benefits and recommend product concepts for commercialization.

We believe you bring

  • Master degree in Agronomy/Plant Science or related field.
  • At least 3 years working experience in a similar role.
  • An understanding of end use and customer needs will be preferred, but will also be part of your job training.
  • Analyzing and preparing market research, prepare and present reports.
  • Proven strong skill of planning and analytical techniques.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work effectively in a team in a cross functional environment.
  • Strong communication skills verbal, interpersonal and written as well as in giving presentation to large group.
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage.

Great if you have

  • Some related product management experience of agricultural chemical products or preferably micronutrients and/or fertilizers

  • A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.
  • A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge and experience between EUR 67,908 and EUR 102.203
  • 25 vacation days + 10 leave days.
  • An STI-bonus based on own kpi’s and company performance.
  • Excellent pension scheme.

Good to know

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Amersfoort. You will be reporting to the Global Marketing Director Micronutrients who is also based in Amersfoort.
