The Account Manager will develop and implement business strategies for assigned accounts. This role will focus on increasing volume and profitability while ensuring the achievement of both short- and long-term objectives.

About the job 

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering sales in alignment with budgetary goals and business strategy, providing accurate sales forecasts, and identifying growth opportunities. This position requires direct engagement with customers in the field, representing Nouryon with a positive and professional demeanor.


In your future role as Account Manager, you will

  • Develop strong relationships with customers, distributors, and other stakeholders to grow share of wallet.
  • Establish and build multi-level relationships with key decision makers and buyers at direct customers.
  • Grow the selling project opportunity pipeline, using application science as a key offering
  • Ensure disciplined management and performance of distribution channels.
  • Implement value pricing to ensure full value of Nouryon’s offering is received.
  • Disciplined approach to demand planning, CRM, and contract negotiations.
  • Utilize marketing plans and value propositions to improve position of technology into chosen markets.
  • Communicate compelling customer and competitor insights back to the Marketing and R&D organizations.

 

We believe you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Engineering-related discipline.
  • Candidates with an MBA are desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or marketing roles, with preference for experience in the pulp & paper or lubricants & fuel markets.


Great if you have:

  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Experience with business software, such as SAP, CRM, Salesforce.com, Arkieva, Anaplan
  • Customer negotiations skills
  • Fluency in English; other relevant languages a plus

 

Great if you are:

  • Self-motivated
  • Results oriented
  • Strong in communication (written & oral) and interpersonal skills
