About the job

As Sales Manager you are responsible for delivering the short- and long-term sales and profitability targets for Home Care and Industrial & Institutional (I&I) markets in the assigned territory that are in line with annual budgets and strategic growth plans. You will lead a team of 9 direct reports.

 

In your future role as Sales Manager Cleaning Goods Europe you will

  • Assess and understand the market needs, development and trends, competition, solutions, and products in the Home Care and I&I market.
  • Ensure to grow Nouryon’s Cleaning Goods business in Europe with the different product line offerings.
  • Work closely with R&D and Marketing functions on customer projects, new launches and drive sales channel management regionally.
  • Lead regional pricing and contract negotiations.
  • Meet forecast accuracy targets and reduced forecast bias as well as reducing overdue.
  • Communicate trends, opportunities, and risks clearly and in a timely manner with the commercial leaders.
  • Set budget for Cleaning Goods customers / distributors together with Regional Sales Director, Finance and Demand Planning.
  • Identify, assess, and develop potential new businesses.
  • Participate and drive commercial activities at local tradeshows and exhibitions.
  • Performance management and career development planning for team.

 

We believe you bring

  • A master’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering or Biology.
  • At least 5+ years sales & marketing experience in the specialty chemicals industry. Preferably in home & personal care.
  • People management experience leading an international team.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing
  • Senior level connections in the Home & Personal Care market
  • The ability to communicate and network with all levels at in our organization and our customers.
  • Strong Financial and Business Acumen

  • A permanent contract with a probationary period of 2 months.
  • A gross basic annual salary including holiday allowance based on your knowledge & experience

Good to know

This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, based in Amersfoort with a travel component of around 20-40%. You will report to the Regional Sales Director EMEA, based in Switzerland.
