About the job

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the building's operations, supporting laboratory equipment, ensuring safety compliance, and managing contractors. You will also keep precise records, collaborate with various teams, and provide technical guidance, all to ensure smooth and efficient facility operations.

In your future role  as you will

  • Maintain, and upkeep the building, including ventilation, heating, electrical, plumbing, structural components, and gas management. Conduct regular inspections and suggest corrective actions.
  • Assist lab staff with the setup, maintenance, and repair of laboratory equipment and spaces, including lab reactors and pilot labs.
  • Collaborate with the HSE specialist on specific tasks, ensure safe execution of activities, and respond to emergencies.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and service technicians, ensuring work is completed as planned and issuing necessary permits.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as snow removal, moving furniture, cleaning clogged pipes, and fixing broken lights or leaking lab dishwashers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and prepare status reports for management. Communicate issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Work with the innovation center and production site maintenance teams to support operations and ensure smooth workflows. Provide technical guidance to staff. 

 

We believe you bring

  • Technical training or bachelor’s in engineering in mechanical, electrical, civil, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities management or as a site engineer in a chemical or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including heating, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, and safety regulations.
  • Experience with chemical laboratory equipment and related safety standards
  • English and Swedish language fluency. 
  • Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 25 kg, and comfortable working in chemical laboratory and pilot plant setting where hazardous chemicals are handled.
