About the job:

 

The successful candidate will join the Nouryon Sales Team and will be in charge of developing strategies for assigned and new accounts. This role will focus on increasing volume growth ensuring the achievement of both short- and long-term objectives.

 

In your future role as Key Account Manager, you will:

  • Create strategy and develop, manage, and ensure the realization of sales for assigned key accounts.
  • Develop an understanding of the key account’s current and future needs and act upon the customer’s strategy and tactics.
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities at the assigned key accounts.
  • Deliver sales performance in line with or exceeding budget. Provide accurate monthly sales forecasts.
  • Regular direct contact with customers in the field, representing Nouryon in a positive and professional manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influences at the customer accounts and build multi-level connections with the customer organizations.
  • Create strong networks across Nouryon for the assigned key accounts.
  • Serve as a lead negotiator on pricing, contracts and commercial terms.
  • Manage sales agreements as well as confidentiality and joint development agreements.
  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by periodic and ad hoc reports and/or analyses; and assume other duties from time to time as directed by management.

 

We believe you bring:

  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years of sales experience in B2B Specialty Chemical Sales. 
  • Experience in Mining, Natural Fibers, and/or Water Treatment market is a definite plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Chemistry or Engineering.
  • Self-motivation, self-confidence, high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen and discern.
  • Knowledge of CRM, SAP, and MS Office.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow national and multi-national key accounts including ownership of account strategy, contracts, and strategy execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and work in a team culture with other internal departments including but not limited to R&D, Customer Service, and Supply Chain.
  • Enthusiasm for travel approximately 40% of the time.

  • This is a permanent position on a full-time basis, reporting to the Sales Manager of Industrial Specialties and remotely based in the United States.
